Hillsboro Seeds, LLC is open for business!

 

James Linne started out in medicine as a career, working as a stomach and intestine doctor for 35 years in Cincinnati, Ohio. During this time, he began to realize that what we eat has a huge impact on the health of our gut, body, and mind overall. This inspired him to start a business raising grass fed beef cattle, where he could ensure his animals had a clean and nutritious diet in order to ensure healthy beef for his customers.  This transition meant a lot of change for a city physician, and he was lucky enough that Ethan Dickey agreed to assist him on the farm and teach him skills he learned growing up as a young child on a farm. Together, they worked to convert the fields of a former grain-finishing operation into diverse and sustainable pasture with ground cover year round. This capitalizes on the nutrients provided by a grass finishing business (cow pies!) by keeping those nutrients on the soil and preventing it from washing away and contaminating our creeks and streams. 

Ethan Dickey is an fifth generation farmer from Hillsboro, Ohio who has first-hand experience from a young boy with caring and feeding farm animals a complete diet. In his spare time, he works to convince high maintenance sheep and goats to eat from the lush pasture he grows for them. Ethan is a dedicated member of the Hillsboro community and has worked for the city of Hillsboro in the water department since 2019. (Contact me at (937)509-1056)
